Tracknow provides you with various tools to have control over the information affiliates have access to. In this article we’ll focus on customizing the information affiliates can see on their ‘Conversions’ and ‘Leads’ page.
What information is there?
Each time a sale or any other payable event is generated by an affiliate, that event’s info will appear as a conversion. Each conversion has attributes (additional information, for example, if the event is a sale, the attributes may be the sale amount, order ID, coupon code, etc.)
You can control which attributes the affiliate will have access to.
If your tracking requirements do not include some of the attributes or you simply do not wish for affiliates to have access to some of them, you have the option to hide attributes.
How to show/hide specific attributes for affiliates?
STEP 1: Enable ‘Company-Wide Grid Control’
Enabling this option will allow you to control the data tables the affiliates see.
- Login as an admin to your Tracknow dashboard and click ‘Settings’ on the main menu
- On the secondary menu, select ‘Company Settings’ under ‘General’
- Scroll down to the ‘Affiliate Settings’ section and toggle on ‘Company-Wide Grid Control’
STEP 2: Login to the affiliate portal as affiliate with ID=1
The affiliate with ID=1 is the default affiliate automatically created for the owner. Changes made on this affiliate account will apply to all affiliates.
- Login as an admin to your Tracknow dashboard and expand the ‘Affiliates’ sub-menu
- Click ‘Affiliate Management’
- Search for the affiliate that has ‘Aff #ID’=1
- On this affiliate’s row, scroll right to the ‘Actions’ column, click the 3 dots and select ‘Login’
STEP 3: Making the changes and saving as a custom view
In this example, we’ll be making changes to the data on the ‘Conversions’ page
- On the affiliate’s portal expand the ‘Performance’ sub-menu
- Click ‘Conversions’
- Click the ‘Columns’ option above the table to edit the columns
- Toggle On/Off the columns you wish to show/hide
- Click ‘Save Current View’ to save the changes
Once the changes are saved, these changes will apply to all affiliates.
